Since I am a California Beach Girl I was thrilled to experience the changes of the seasons here in Illinois my first year. The Fall was amazing! I walked around the Lake and took in every little change of all the different trees and plants. We went for a drive through town so I could soak up all the colors. I experienced my first Country Wiener Roast! There was a Hayrack Ride too but I didn't go on it... Next time. These are just my favorite photos from my first Autumn in the Midwest.
My first day of "Fall watching"... I saw these orange leaves and tried to capture the scene, looking through the leaves at the lake.
On one of my evening walks.
This is my view from the front porch... I am in love! I love that the geese showed up in this photo too.
This was the sunset at the Wiener Roast and Hayrack Ride. I was photographing the tree and the sunset showed up!
As the sun set the clouds came in and turned the sky pink and purple.I feel so lucky to have gotten this shot of the country road and the sunset together with the tree.
Richard was so excited when these trees turned to this flaming red and orange. He wanted me to see it and get photos of it! Isn't this just unreal? I was stunned by it! I didn't get pictures that do it justice.
I was surprised by the way the trees and plants changed. They don't all change at the same time or in the same way. Some were done changing as others were just starting to change. Some started dark then faded, others went from light to dark. I will be more prepared next year.
This is our "Rainbow Tree"...
the way it changed colors was just like a rainbow with the green on the inside going to purple out on the ends.
Then there is the cherry tree...
the birdhouse in the cherry tree with the view of the beautiful trees.
The lake...
I LOVE the lake!
These leaves were the last ones to change.
This is a tree in our backyard also.
This red bush looked like a heart to me.
A log cabin house with a heart-shaped red bush in front. For real.
Ahhhh... my bird feeder. I love my barn bird feeder and I love this picture. I sat on the grass under the tree and this is what I saw.
This is a real photograph! It is not a painting. I really did take this picture.
I have put most of these photos on RedBubble to sell but some of them did not fit the "size requirements" so you can find them on my Facebook Gallery.
