So to begin with... this is not just a Golf Course... it is a Golf Club! That means there are big, gorgeous homes all around the course (and actually within the course, which I think is just plain crazy ;-). Like this one, our favorite, which sits right in the middle. And the most bizarre part is what is right in front of it...
This scene just made me giggle. The juxtaposition of the mansion and the outhouse with the tree made me wonder...? Tickled my funny bone.
Then...
This looks like a normal bridge, right? But I walked down around to get a shot of it from the side and...
Look closely... those are tires and that is a trailer! LOL. Now I'm REALLY wondering...??
Well... This IS Missouri! ;-)
What's next?...
This is more like what I was expecting...
A beautiful and very old tree! We just love these old souls.
From here you can see a couple of the houses on the course.
The Club House
The only sprinklers I have seen out here in the Midwest. I was just commenting on that, in fact... In California sprinklers are a staple, everyone has sprinklers. Out here, they are almost nonexistent.
Richard said "Look, the next bridge"... LOL.
Isn't this just lovely?
I just love this scene. You can just barely see the 2 golfers in the trees. These older gentlemen were very sweet and we enjoyed chatting with them. They were in their 70s and 80s which inspired us.
Ahhhhh.... :-) I love the trees, the shadows... And.....
...the guy in the golf cart!
What a shot!
Of course I had to check out the tiny flowers at the base of the trees.
A single goose. I didn't see any others... I hope it has a mate somewhere close by.
I actually did hit the ball. I made a "putt". My first ever. And it was a doozy! Right here... see this flag... if it wasn't in the hole to stop the ball it would have gone in the water, but it went just right into the hole as it is supposed to! A 10-foot putt done perfectly! LOL... I'm quitting while I'm ahead. :-)
There was a pair of these ducks I just didn't get a good photo of them together.
The last hole. Well done! It was another great day on a golf course!
We went into the Club House...
And I saw this on the wall...
It is true... That's my Richard ... on the Hole-In-One Honor Roll!
End of the day... view from the Club House.
And... on the way home... a farm in Missouri...
I think I may do a Red album... Red Barns... Red Silos... Red Farms...
